We launched our Small Change initiative in 2017 and are on a journey with our customers, suppliers and local partners to make a meaningful positive impact on the world.
The 4 pillars of Small Change
Animal welfare and conservation
We want to ensure that any interactions we might have with animals are ethical and in no way harming or causing stress to the animals.
We regularly assess all activities or destinations that involve animals and ensure that the places we choose to go and the local operators we work with put the welfare of animals first.
Supporting local communties
Every INTRO tour provides a meaningful, positive impact on the communities we visit. When our group members book a tour with us, most of that money goes to the local operators, transport and accommodation providers.
Cultural exchange and education
Whether it’s visiting a school for young monks in Sri Lanka, doing a cooking class in Thailand, visiting a local village in Mexico to learn about textile making, or learning origami and noodle-making in Japan, our group members will have authentic hands-on experiences and make meaningful connections with the local people they meet.
Protecting the environment
At INTRO we do our best to make sure that we travel responsibly and make a positive difference to the people we meet and the places we go.

We're planting trees.
Unfortunately travel is a big contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, such as CO2. This includes from transport, energy, and food production. We all know that CO2 causes global warming, so we wanted to do something to reduce our carbon footprint and make our tours carbon neutral.
